چکیده
Abstract The adsorption of CO 2 on a nano-calcium oxide (nano-CaO) adsorbent was investigated under different conditions temperature and supply pressure, considering kinetic, isotherm, thermodynamic parameters. CaO is crystalline material with high surface area nanosized particles porosity, which showed rapid initial rates in the moderate range studied. well described by pseudo-second-order intraparticle diffusion kinetic models. Langmuir isotherm model fitted experimental data well, indicating monolayer-type process. parameters revealed that /nano-CaO endothermic, not spontaneous, proceeded via physical chemical processes. activation energy value confirmed mechanism involved In addition, nano-CaO could be regenerated five times without any significant loss performance or properties. All obtained results reveal this porous nanoadsorbent has huge potential to applied for -capture technologies large scale.

Evaluation of CO2 carrying capacity of reactivated CaO by hydration
Steam hydration has been proposed as a suitable technique for improving the performance of CaO as a regenerable sorbent in CO2 capture systems. New hydration experiments conducted in this study, confirm the reported improvements in the capacity of sorbents to carry CO2. An examination of the textural properties of the sorbent after hydration and mild calcination revealed a large increase in the...
متن کاملSurface Nano-Structuring by Adsorption and Chemical Reactions
Nano-structuring of the surface caused by adsorption of molecules or atoms and by the reaction of surface atoms with adsorbed species are reviewed from a chemistry viewpoint. Self-assembly of adsorbed species is markedly influenced by weak mutual interactions and the local strain of the surface induced by the adsorption. Nano-structuring taking place on the surface is well explained by the noti...

Zinc oxide thin films were deposited on soda-lime glass substrates from an aqueous zinccontaining complex by two-stage chemical deposition (TSCD) method. Longmuir adsorption model showed that the adsorption of atoms on the surface of the substrate was typically physical. The relation between the fractional coverage, θ, with the equilibrium constant of the adsorption reaction was nonlinear indic...
متن کاملImprovement of Manure Adsorption Capacity for Cobalt Removal by Chemical Treatment with Citric Acid
This paper focuses on how the surface chemical groups of sheep manure affect the adsorption capacity of cobalt ions. Improvement in cobalt ions uptake onto sheep manure was achieved successfully by introducing more carboxylic functional groups into its surface due to citric acid treatment. According to Langmuir model, cobalt ions uptake was increased from 22.88 mg/g for dried sheep manure (D-SM...
